The Museum of Cycladic Art in Athens is offering its visitors the opportunity to experience digital tours of its permanent collections just by using their smartphone or tablet.

As of September 24, visitors can scan the QR code that is available at the museum’s entrance and outside the exhibition halls, and download the Clio Muse Tours application for free. Through the app, visitors can observe the museum’s four permanent collections with safety by displaying the info that is available for select artifacts on their device.

The app is available in three languages, Greek, English and French.

Along with the app, the Cycladic Art Museum has also launched two new thematic tours: “Wine: The gift of god Dionysus”, which focuses on the role of wine in antiquity and “The riddle of Keros: Myth or reality” that presents the history of the remote Aegean island of Keros and its significance for Greece during the 3rd millennium BC.

The Cycladic Art Museum is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 10am-5pm and on Sundays between 11-5pm.
