It is reminded that the United Kingdom is one of the largest tourist markets for Greek tourism. Indicatively, from England, Greece in 2019 welcomed some 3.5 million visitors.

While in London, Theoharis will also meet with Noel Josephides, board member of the Association of Independent Tour Operators (AITO) and chairman of the Travel Foundation.

The Greek tourism minister’s agenda in England also includes a series of interviews in British media, including BBC, Sky News, The Telegraph, etc.. He will also have a special meeting with Greek correspondents in London.

The minister’s visit to England is part of an awareness-raising effort ahead of Greece’s official opening to tourists with no quarantine requirement for vaccinated travelers or those with a negative PCR test.
