Hotelising to Open New Upscale Boutique Hotel in Athens
According to an announcement, the company will turn one of Athens’ landmark neoclassical mansions into a boutique hotel.
Located at the junction of Delfon and Didotou streets in Kolonaki, the mansion is of great historical significance, as it was designed by Danish architect Christian Hansen during his years in Athens in the mid-19 century.
Hansen’s most famous works in the Greek capital is the original main building of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, as well as the Zapio Mansion and the Athens Observatory.
The neoclassical mansion in Kolonaki was also the home of Elli Lambeti, one of Greece’s most renowned actresses.
Hotelising has subleased the property, which will undergo full reconstruction works in order to start operating in early 2022.
The new hotel will feature six suites and a rooftop that will offer a stunning view of the city.
Furthermore, Hotelising will design the hotel’s corporate identity and proceed with the development of an integrated sales and operational plan.
The company’s portfolio also includes other distictive historic hospitality units in Greece, such as the Sir Athens hotel in the Greek capital.
“With the opening of the new boutique hotel, Hotelising will strengthen its position in the Greek and international tourism market,” the announcement said.
