R&R 2020: New Hospitality Forum Announced for October
Hospitality professionals and experts from all over the world are invited to gather in Algarve, Portugal, in October, to attend the Resort & Residential Hospitality Forum (R&R) 2020.
Part of the International Hospitality Investment Forum (IHIF) series, the R&R offers a meeting place for the industry to network, share ideas and build partnerships for tourism projects, mixed-use developments and hotel transactions.
The R&R Forum will take place at the five-star Tivoli Marina Vilamoura hotel during October 19-21, 2020, under the theme “Solidarity with Hospitality”.
Although the world at the moment is adapting and modifying in response to the coronavirus (Covid-19), organizer Questex Hospitality Group says that it is vital to look to the future of the travel experience.
“COVID-19 has had, and will continue to have, a catastrophic impact on the hospitality industry, with resort destinations potentially amongst the most affected across the sector… Once travel confidence resumes, there will be a significant demand for leisure travel, but it is unlikely to be business as usual,” Questex said.
The organizer of the R&R 2020 event underlined that it will be critical for operators, developers, investors and owners to understand the new normal and what travellers will be seeking when they get back to booking.
According to Questex, the R&R 2020 program will deliver:
- A clearer focus to represent the leisure hospitality segment,
- A broader regional reach to include key resort markets (e.g. alpine resorts, Baltic, Middle-East, Asia, Caribbean etc.),
- A stronger residential component to address one of the most important parts of resort development,
- The experience, branding and quality of content that has worked well in subsequent years.
Registration for the R&R 2020 is now open with an early bird rate available until May 13.
The Resort & Residential Hospitality Forum was previously known as the Mediterranean Resort & Hotel Real Estate Forum (MR&H), which had taken place in Athens, Greece, in 2018 and 2019.
