All travelers entering Greece through Promachonas border station as of July 14 will be obliged to present a negative molecular test result (PCR) for coronavirus (Covid-19) upon arrival.

The test must performed up to 72 hours before travelers enter Greece through the country’s northern border with Bulgaria.

The announcement followed a teleconference of government officials chaired by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Friday.

The new measure was decided after a spike in Covid-19 cases was recorded at the Promachonas border check point this week.
